Production Design (Set Design & Properties) for Toby’s Journey

This final-year project focused on creating scenic and prop designs for “Toby’s Journey,” a multisensory performance by Sensory Circus—a student collective from the Diploma in Arts & Theatre Management and the Drama IG (Operation Theatre). The show provides an inclusive, sensory-friendly theatre experience tailored to neurodiverse audiences. Staged in January and February 2025 at both TRCC Black Box and Gateway Theatre, the production aims to enhance inclusion and accessibility for children with developmental differences. Beyond designing the set and properties, the student team also coordinated and participated in the show’s production, ensuring a smooth, engaging, and accessible experience. Deliverables include a comprehensive project plan, live event execution, technical documentation, and post-event evaluation—reflecting the commitment to arts for all.
