FuelYOUths is a gamified website designed to promote holistic health among academically driven youths. It can be found in HPB’s Healthy365 app. The platform encourages users to prioritize their mental, emotional, and physical well-being through engaging challenges that support their academic goals. This is achieved through a strategic integration of exercise challenges, avatar, scoreboards, engaging streak challenges, interactive comment sections, and targeted social media marketing.
The responses from our marketing post reveal a strong preference for Instagram and TikTok as primary social media platforms, with many respondents discovering new apps through influencer recommendations and TikTok/Instagram posts. Relatable memes and humorous content were highly favored, while overly promotional posts and low-quality content were widely disliked. Rewards such as vouchers, leaderboards, and exclusive merchandise were popular incentives, with school benefits being particularly appealing. Many respondents were not using health apps due to a lack of engagement, relatable content, or perceived benefits. Furthermore, some already use tools like Fitbit and fitness apps, hence not using additional fitness tools.
