Our Final Year Project documents the planning and execution of live sound for an esports event in collaboration with Zenway Production. The project involves providing professional audio solutions and live band support, covering sound system setup, microphone placement, mixing for commentators, performers, in-game audio and audio for livestreams as well as overall sound management during the event. Through this project, industry-standard live sound practices are applied to ensure clear communication, reliable performance, and an engaging audio experience for both live audiences and online viewers.
Zenway Production organized the Electronic Super Cup (ESC), an electronic music event aimed at delivering high-energy performances and immersive entertainment experiences for contemporary nightlife and festival audiences. The organization focuses on producing and promoting large-scale electronic music events, with ESC addressing the need to build awareness, attract strong audience attendance, and position the event competitively within a crowded electronic music market. The primary target audience consisted of young adults aged 18–35 who are engaged with electronic music, DJ culture, live events, and digital platforms.
The project team included Faith as Group Leader, Hanin as Stage Manager, Krystal as Stage Assistant and Band Liaison, Nicole (A1) as Main Sound Engineer, and Cheryl (A2) as Assistant Sound Engineer. Key deliverables involved event planning, professional sound engineering, stage and artist management, technical and logistical coordination, and on-site execution to ensure the smooth operation of ESC. The project successfully addressed the client’s needs by ensuring high-quality audio performance, effective stage transitions, and strong coordination between technical and performance teams. Although communication was still developing at the start of the setup phase, it improved progressively, enabling our team to adapt to challenges and work collaboratively to deliver a successful live event experience.
