Bound is a narrative-driven interactive game that explores the emotional and physical challenges faced by a young wheelchair user, Jamison, within his home environment. Through a unique “Shadow Realm” mechanic, players navigate between reality and Jamison’s inner mind to overcome obstacles that symbolize everyday struggles.
The project combines 3D environment design, character modeling, UI development, and gameplay programming within Unity to create an immersive and meaningful experience. By integrating environmental storytelling, puzzle mechanics, and a psychologically inspired visual direction, the game encourages players to empathize with accessibility challenges while engaging in interactive problem-solving.
Designed as a prototype, Bound demonstrates how narrative, design, and mechanics can work cohesively to deliver an emotionally resonant and impactful gameplay experience.
